Itt Patiparn Boontarig, director of Solids by the Seashore, will join the NEW GEN ON SCREEN: Thai Cinema and the New Generation talk session at “S.O.S. SIAM ON SCREEN” on 13 September 2026.
The session will bring together a new generation of Thai filmmakers to discuss how diverse stories and perspectives are creating new possibilities for Thai cinema, while exploring the challenges, opportunities, and directions shaping the future of the industry.
Itt will join filmmakers Jirassaya Wongsutin, director of Flat Girls, and Thamuya Tassananukulkit, director of Term 4: The Concubine’s House and TAME: Raising the Unruly, for a conversation on their creative approaches, experiences, and perspectives on where Thai cinema can go next.
The talk is part of S.O.S. SIAM ON SCREEN, a three-day programme exploring Thai cinema and the evolving idea of “Thainess” through film, storytelling, and conversations with filmmakers.
